Little Trees

I am finally posting to my blog. Yippy! Here is my Little Trees sweater that is going to Linda and Thomas's baby. I haven't met him yet but hopefully will soon. I think that it looks like an old man's sweater with the collar. He will look like an old soul wearing it. I messed up the collar but it worked out anyways. The pattern is from Kim Hargreaves "Rowan Babies". It is made out of wool cotton. I changed the colors because I wanted something brighter for a baby.

Ava's Sweater

I am creating an adorable Fisherman sweater for my cousin's cute baby, Ava. She is probably going to be a year before it fits but since she has one that my mother made for her, it will be perfect. I saw a cute cable knit sweater in an old Knitter's Magazine that had hearts on it. I thought about using hearts and found this interlocking heart pattern that seemed more sophisticated. I am using Jo Sharp Silk Road Aran which is so soft and nice but perhaps not for a new mom. Oh well! You have to learn how to take care of hand knits at some point.

FYI : I did not make the sweater that I have on. I bought it at Value Village for about nothing.

Lara Sweater Again

Lara Sweater

I finished this sweater a long time ago. I just figured out how to link photos from one sight to another. The pattern is Debbie Bliss and calls for Alpaca Silk but I used Rowan's Kid Classic and I just love it.
I am still working out the linking of pictures. I think that I have it this time.
