I have been a knitting fool. These are only a few of my most recent projects. It is amazing that I have time for anything else.

The hats are made out of Debbie Bliss cashmerino aran yarn and knit on size 8 needles. They knit up very quickly and make a great baby present in bundles of three.

The purse is knit out of Rowan Big Wool on size 15 needles and my mom sewed the liner in since she is much better than me at sewing.

Angie's Crocheted Hat

This is my final post for the day. I owe Angie a bulky crocheted hat from Christmas. I could get it completed in about an hour if I just sat down and did it but I have been distracted by other things like knitting!

Annelie's Lux Cotton Tank

I started Annelie's Lux Cotton Tank available at Hilltop. It is fun and easy but looks hard. Sort of like most knitting projects. I want to finish this before it gets cold again. There isn't much time to wear summer things around here.

Ruffled Top Purse

I was given a beautiful wallet by my friend Angie because she said that I had to retire my old one. I decided to make a purse to match the wallet. The pattern is by Kelly Krieger who teaches designs for Hilltop. I made it out of Cascade 220 which felts up nicely. Of course I had to put on a pretty button that costs more than the purse. So the pictures are here but I have no idea how to rotate the purse picture so there you have it.

Magic is in the Air

My friend's son asked me so sweetly if I would make him a Harry Potter scarf. I could not resist and said that I would. I was house sitting for them and woke up suddenly on the day that they came home and realized that I had to get knitting on his scarf. I hurried to Hilltop and bought two balls of Aurora 8 and made him a stripped 2x2 ribbed scarf. When they arrived home at 2 am, he immediately put it on. Here are two pictures with it on Lucy, their yellow lab and on a polar bear.

Relaxing at the Lake

I spent a long weekend at Lake George in upstate New York at my family place. There are so many relatives now that I don't even recognize some of my own cousins. It was hot and humid but I managed to knit anyways and swim everyday. I wish that Lake George was closer because I miss being able to jump off my own dock to go swiming. Swimming in Lake Washington is just not the same.
